Apprenticeship Program
ShopTropicals’ apprenticeship program qualifies participants for FNGLA’s Horticulturalist
Technician Certification. It is a 2 year program consisting of 2,000 hours of on-the-job training
and 144 hours of technical instruction/self-study. During the program, apprentices will progress
and gain experience in the full life-cycle of the interior plant industry by working in the following
areas:
● Growing, and Nursery Operations
● Packing, Shipping, and Warehouse Operations Supply Chain Management, and
Distribution Logistics
● Design, Installation, & Maintenance of Interior and Exterior Plantscapes
ShopTropicals is a young and growing company and employees are encouraged to rotate
between paths before settling into one area as a manager.
